Those who have heard of the legendary Blue Eyes White Dragon, know that it
is one of the most recognized and desired cards in all of the Yugioh
Trading Card Game. Even though the card doesn't have any special
abilities, the Blue Eyes White Dragon starts off with one of the highest
attack powers available. It is no wonder Kaiba wanted these cards so
badly.
It is no wonder Kaiba wanted these cards so
badly.
And speaking of Kaiba, this card became his trademark and he used it as
his key monster. It was his most power card and he liked to use it
frequently to decimate his competition. In the cartoon there were
supposedly only four ever created because they were thought to be far too
powerful. Seto Kaiba destroyed the fourth card after he extorted the
other three into his possession. His reason for destroying the fourth was
because a player may only have three of a certain card in a deck, and he
didn't want anyone else to potentially have a Blue Eyes White Dragon.
That way he controlled the three strongest cards available at the time.
Eventually he would go on to fuse them together and create a three headed
Blue Eyes White Dragon.
However, the Yugioh Trading Card Game does give quite the same amount of
power to the Blue Eyes White Dragon. Mainly because using modifiers and
abilities of other cards, one can easily overcome the attack power of a
Blue Eyes White Dragon that is played against them. Though this does not
mean you should avoid owning or collecting this card. Very far from it.
For the real life card game, this card can be very close to, if not as
powerful as it was shown to be in the cartoon. If it is played as just a
regular monster, it is extremely strong. It will give you the opportunity
to crush monster and monster from your opponent. Then, add in some
modifiers and you can create an overly powerful monster that can barely be
matched.
So if you are just starting out or trying to fill in a few monster slots
for your duelist power deck, then you really can't go wrong by getting one
or more of these cards.
