The Beatles impact on the music scene was far more extensive than many of younger generations realize. They started the music movie trend and were the inspiration for the music videos. Although much of the material from the Fab Four may originally appear to have been random (as a lot of music video material is), the themes of their vast original output went far beyond the protest folk scene of the 1950s and 1960s.

This was all primarily the influence of Paul McCartney and John Lennon. Although George Harrison and Ringo Starr were artists in their own right, their influence was significantly smaller. Did this innovative and memorable group change the world or influence it to a more positive degree? It is a subject for essayists and music historians.

Some of the influences are direct and obvious, others are just random, just as a song from the Magical Mystery Tour that influenced a satirical song by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band in a 1967 album which inspired a new millenium group to call itself Death Cab for Cutie.
